Bushy Summers
Bushy Summers has been designed purely to nurture you and feed your creative soul. Resting on the shores of Lettes Bay, Tasmania and amongst neighbouring historic miner’s shacks, Bushy Summers offers travellers an authentic experience in nature, a cosy refuge from the outside world. It is the most private shack in the bay and was lovingly restored in 2018 by artists Matthew Usmar Lauder and Claire Lloyd and truly is a wholesome retreat for one to two people.
Views of the bay can be seen from every room in the shack, a gentle reminder you have found your ideal getaway. The Bushy bedroom has a comfortable, double cast-iron bed and is topped with beautiful, luxe linen bedding. There is a large internal picture window with a view through to the living area, where you can curl up on the daybed and watch the bay. From the bedroom you enter the bathroom through our iconic blue, carved wooden doors. Enjoy soaking in our cast iron, claw foot bath and lay back and watch the tops of the gum trees through the window as they sway across the sky. Bushy has a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for those who don’t want to leave the peace of the bay. Anytime, night or day, sit outside on our deck, listen to the birdsong, feed the ducks, breathe in the fresh clean Tassie air and watch the ever-changing skies.
“The space will reinvigorate the senses as you take in the beauty and restore your creative soul.”
