My Greek Island Home
Buying a house on the Greek Island of Lesvos in 2005 not only gave me an alternative to my hectic London life but opened my heart to the love and laughter, hardships and sadness of community and daily life in a Greek village. I continue to feel privileged to have the locals, now our friends, embrace us outsiders with open arms and enormous generosity inviting Matthew and I into their homes and their lives. My documentation of daily life in this authentic Greek village , through photography and words not only lead to new friendships but also to the book My Greek Island Home, a book born from a place of love.
Sensual Living
In 1996 I was approached by the wonderful team at Conran Octopus to publish a book about my design practice. It was such an amazing opportunity to be able to share something that came so naturally to me - a way of life through the senses. Sensual Living is a thoughtful and emotional exploration of how the senses guide me to create nurturing spaces. With beautiful, original imagery from London, the South of France, Los Angeles, Sydney and St Barts, my hope was that the simple ideas found within its pages would inspire you to gain pleasure from what surrounds you.
