On Your Way to Strahan

If you’re travelling from Hobart, we’d recommend checking out the Drill Hall Emporium in Derwent Valley, a beautiful antiques store and book in for a delicious lunch at the Agrarian Kitchen.

From Launceston, drive via Cradle Mountain for a more scenic route or for a slightly faster route, via Burnie. Don’t forget to stop by the Ingleside Bakery in Evandale.

If you like Markets the Evandale Market is open on Sundays if you are travelling through. If you find yourself in Devonport at lunchtime Nomad Global Kitchen is a great place for a bite to eat.

For delicious pantry supplies, The General Store is right next door and if you are lucky enough to arrive at cocktail hour there is a sweet little bar at the back of the shop, serving drinks. Stopping here is a must.

Check in and Check out

Check in is at 3pm.

Check out is at 11am.

Accessibility and Parking

Check out is at 11am.

WIFI and Phone Coverage

Our shacks have free wifi, however phone reception can be poor. We’d recommend downloading any important information such as the house manual, details of how to get here and important phone numbers just in case. I’d also recommend getting travel insurance if you are travelling in the winter months as the roads can get snowed in.
